5 Questions with Steven Didis, Graphic Designer

by Nyhus Communications

Last week we announced the hiring of our new graphic designer Steven Didis. Steven has already proven to be a fantastic asset to our team, assisting in design needs both internally and externally. You can view some of his recent video design work by watching the Nyhus New Year video.

Following our tradition of asking new team members five questions about their life and career, here’s what Steven has to say about working at Nyhus:

Steven Didis, Nyhus Communications

What will your new role at Nyhus include?

My role is production and art direction as they relate to graphic design, visual communications and creation of brand collateral for Nyhus and our clients. My work covers everything from new design iterations of online ads to video animation, on-site three-dimensional visuals or printed brochures.

What are you looking forward to most in your new position?

I am looking forward to using my skill set to expand Nyhus’ offerings to our clients. Creative work and visual solutions are important parts of a full-service client experience and one more service our clients can leverage in communicating to their customers and clients.

What is your proudest career moment?

My proudest career moment was probably when I saw a project I worked on functioning in a retail environment for the first time. A team of other designers and developers at United Future and I created an interactive, in-store phone demo kiosk for T-Mobile. It was really satisfying to see all of our hard work come to fruition in a great product that people will use and interact with on a daily basis.

What’s the best part about your new job so far?

There are a lot of significant moments, but the one that stands out the most is the ‘It Gets Better’ video I created right after I joined Nyhus. I am honored to have the chance to tell our team’s stories through video and contribute to such a wonderful cause.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Outside of work I like to go skiing, explore Seattle, make things (whatever form they may take), and enjoy a hearty Sunday brunch.
