About Us

Beth is an account coordinator at Nyhus Communications. In her position, she has brought her research, media relations and social media knowledge to supporting the agency’s diverse range of public relations clients in the corporate, consumer and technology practices. She also manages Nyhus’ social media presence including the company blog as well as Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter profiles.

Beth contributes to Nyhus’ international experience, having worked in Beijing, China, for two years in both English language education and arts administration. She brings experience from several public relations internships, most recently as part of the Global Technology Practice at Weber Shandwick’s Seattle office, where she supported enterprise technology companies.

As an active participant in Seattle’s social media and public relations circles, Beth has coordinated Nyhus involvement in Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) events. She has received recognition for her personal blog about public relations, art and China, which she began in early 2008.

Beth received her bachelor’s degree in journalism with a public relations specialization from the University of Oregon. While at the University of Oregon, she studied Chinese ethnic studies and Mandarin in Beijing and interned in public relations for a public health NGO in Accra, Ghana.

When Beth isn’t networking or using social media, she likes to spend time outdoors, watch television and listen to Chinese independent music.
