About Us

Jennifer Morris has nearly a decade of experience as a senior communications adviser and spokesperson on national issue campaigns. She has worked with elected officials, candidates for public office and advocacy groups on messaging for federal and state policy initiatives.

As a spokesperson for elected officials and candidates, Jennifer has worked regularly with national broadcast, cable, print and online reporters to increase earned media coverage at both the national and local level.

Her expertise in crafting strategic communications plans that incorporate media events, online media strategies and coalition building has resulted in changing media storylines and public perception on a variety of issues, including energy, health care and financial services reform.

Prior to joining Nyhus, Jennifer served as the national press secretary for U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, where she assisted with short- and long-term messaging plans for the Republican Conference and served as an on-the-record spokesperson for Leader McConnell.

Jennifer has also worked on statewide campaigns in Washington, Michigan, Kentucky, Mississippi and Louisiana, where she designed and implemented comprehensive communications strategies to elect candidates to public office and influence media coverage of policy issues.

Jennifer has written speeches and coordinated nationally televised media events for members of the U.S. House and Senate, Cabinet officials, governors, and national advocacy organizations.

Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree from Newcomb College at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a master’s in public administration from American University in Washington, D.C.
