Mark has three years of experience advising and executing on strategic communications campaigns. Mark serves as a senior account executive within the agency, where he provides tactical execution for integrated campaigns, supporting both the public affairs and public relations practices.

Prior to joining Nyhus, Mark served in various campaign leadership positions and as a legislative aide to a senior member of the Washington State Senate. Mark’s background in local and state politics informs his work at Nyhus, where he engages with clients in external and governmental affairs, policy analysis, media relations and content creation. Mark’s think-outside-the-box style has helped Fortune 500 companies, technology startups and non-profit agencies exceed their goals.

Mark received his bachelor’s degree in political science from Seattle University, where he was named a Korematsu Center Undergraduate Fellow. He completed his studies with an internship in the Washington State Senate.

Despite the unfortunate inability to sing on-key, Mark always has a song in his heart. Ask him what he’s listening to, and you’ll likely hear Wilco, Bon Iver or Mitski—sometimes all at once.
