Account Executive

As account executive, Nate provides strategic communications counsel to Nyhus’ residential and commercial real estate development clients. Nate brings extensive experience in transportation– and development–related public affairs projects as well as in customer service, public relations and marketing for some of Washington’s top business groups, issues–based coalitions and nonprofit associations.

Having written scores of media pitches, press releases, contributed articles, broadcast e–mails, newsletters, web content and speeches, Nate has a strong affinity for developing compelling messages.

He has placed numerous op–eds for health care clients; secured front–page articles in Puget Sound–area publications for an innovative, mixed–income neighborhood; coordinated local and national coverage of the relocation of a house; and launched a mortgage company’s philanthropic program by organizing a 400–guest gala to benefit Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center.

One of the attractions of joining Nyhus for Nate was the opportunity to work on some of the most compelling issues facing the region he’s always called home. Born and raised on Seattle’s Capitol Hill, Nate considers himself a recreational urban planner and feels a strong commitment to promoting sustainability and urban vitality.

Nate earned his bachelor’s degree in history from Western Washington University and is a lifelong student of the Spanish language. He has also completed graduate work at the University of Washington College of Architecture and Urban Planning in the fields of preservation and traffic calming.
