
Sally Poliak
Chief Operating Officer
Sally is the chief operating officer at Nyhus, leading day–to–day operations of the business as well as providing high–level strategic counsel to clients.
Sally joins a newly created Nyhus Executive Team, which includes Roger Nyhus, president & CEO; Kym Allen, director of public affairs; and Michael Graubard, public relations account supervisor.
A seasoned political and marketing communications professional, Sally has more than 20 years of experience building and managing teams and developing strategic, results–driven marketing and public affairs programs. Most recently, Sally owned a consulting business advising clients such as the Women’s Bioethics Project and the newly elected Port Commissioner Bill Bryant.
Sally spent 10 years at Microsoft providing public affairs and marketing leadership. She ran the Government Leaders Forum program, a series of policy events for heads of state and ministers from around the world. As the manager of these events, Sally developed the strategy, format and content of how public policy can be impacted by information and communications technology for both developing and developed countries. She also built and managed customer relationship marketing teams for both the Developer and Small Business divisions.
Prior to her work with Microsoft, Sally spent 14 years working in politics, public relations and public affairs, including operating her own consulting firm. She has also served as a political analyst on Seattle National Public Radio affiliate KUOW, as a board member of the Northwest AIDS Foundation and as a volunteer consultant to the International Republican Institute working in Kiev, Ukraine.
Sally earned a bachelor’s degree in political science at Lewis & Clark College and studied economics at Josef Atilla University in Szeged, Hungary.
