Nyhus is consistently deepening our efforts to ensure diversity, equity and inclusion are woven into all aspects of our business. That includes how we serve our clients, connect with our community and invest in each other’s success.
We established a formal DEI working group that is taking meaningful steps to model our commitment through action. The working group sets goals, priorities and measurable targets to ensure our company is equitable and inclusive. We hold each other accountable on a weekly basis, integrating this work into our standing team meetings on business performance and client satisfaction.
We are excited to announce that Account Supervisor Brie Adderley is leading this critical work as our team’s DEI lead. With her passion and growing expertise, Brie chairs the working group and manages the development and execution of a comprehensive DEI strategy across our company.
Brie is well-positioned to serve in this role. She holds a certificate in DEI in the workplace from the University of South Florida’s Muma College of Business. As an emerging community leader, Brie serves on the Seattle Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce’s equity committee and the IPREX committee on diversity, equity and inclusion, where she chairs a sub-committee on diversifying the talent pipeline within the PR industry.
We know this work takes all of us. Together, we are investing resources in continual education and leadership among our team. We are working with other PR firms to make measurable progress toward eliminating discrimination and bias in our industry, and amplifying voices of experts in our community who have been leading this work long before our collective awakening.
